About Momofuku

Established by chef and founder David Chang in 2004 with the opening of Momofuku Noodle Bar, Momofuku has grown to include restaurants in New York City, Sydney, Toronto, Washington, DC, and Las Vegas (Noodle Bar, Ssm Bar, Ko, M Pche, Seiobo, Noodle Bar Toronto, Daisho, Shoto, Fuku, Fuku+, CCDC, Nishi, Las Vegas, Fuku Wall St), a bakery established by award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi (Milk Bar), and a bar (Nikai). Momofuku Runners assist in providing guests with the Momofuku experience.  Momofuku runners are expected to give service that is knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful while upholding company standards and values in a busy, fast paced environment.


  • Provide knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times
  • Quickly and correctly transport food from the kitchen to the guest
  • Up-to-date knowledge of menu items including major components, unfamiliar ingredients, and appropriate utensils for service
  • Respond appropriately to guest requests, communicating requests to server as needed
  • Assist servers and bartenders by communicating 86s, menu changes, and/or other food related information
  • Adhere to all company service standards and protocols
  • Understand and execute food safety and allergies protocols
  • Communicate respectfully with chefs (and kitchen team) as necessary
  • Assist expeditor by communicating necessary dining room information
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of service tools and service areas
  • Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service
  • Engage management for any guest issue or complaint
  • Stocking and preparing service related items
  • Adhere to grooming and dress code standards

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience in a high volume environment
  • Strong food knowledge preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess exceptional work ethic, strong attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
  • Receptive to constructive criticism and performance feedback

Physical Demands

  • The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
